Kingswood topple Rajans 55-3

RUGBY: Kingswood College scored their third fifty and over score in
the current President School under-26 League Rugby Tournament. They beat
their traditional rivals Dharmaraja by 55 points (5 goals, 4 tries) to 3
points (1 penalty) at Bogambara Stadium yesterday at "Lemons" winners
led 17-0.
Kingswood once again looks like the champion outfit and earlier in
the season having beaten Mahanama and Joes easily. Kingswood drew first
blood in the 8th minute through winger Fazly Mohamed's try. In the
initial half Rajans missed two try scoring chances, 18 minutes later
Rajitha Sansoni scored and skipper Roshan Weeraratne adding the 2 points
0 Roshan Weeraratne scored a solo 70 - run to score an unconverted try
(17-0).
In the second-half tries were scored by Roshan Weeraratne, Mohamed
Absual (3), Sansoni, Wijesinghe and Silva four of them were converted by
Sansoni. Referee: Gamini Indrasena in the senior games. Under-14 Rajans
21-0, under-16 Rajans 29-0.
