Isipathana victorious

RUGBY: Former champions Isipatana College powered their way to an impressive 38 points to 19 points victory over Mahanama MV in their inter schools under 20 `A' division league rugby match played at Longden Place yesterday.

The winners collected their points from two goals, three tries, two penalties and one drop goal after having taken a close 8-5 lead at half time. Mahanama MV responded with two goals and one try.

Winger Vishwamithra Jayasinghe and Ashan Gallage scored two tries each for the winners while Tharaka Uthpala scored one try. In addition Mohamed Jumard put over two penalties and Prasad Devinda fired across a drop goal. (C.D).
