England enjoy run-spree
CRICKET: CHESTER-LE-STREET, England, May 16, 2009 - Fifties from
local hero Paul Collingwood and Matt Prior helped England continue to
pile on the runs against the West Indies in the second Test here at the
Riverside on Saturday.
England closed their first innings at tea on the third day in the
commanding position of 569 for six declared following a Test-best 160
from left-handed opener Alastair Cook.
That left the West Indies needing 370 just to avoid the follow-on.
