Thibahata Cash Two Rs. 100,000 winners in one month
Ole Marketing Private Ltd., bottlers and distributors of Ole Range of
carbonated soft drinks, Pepsi, Mirinda and 7up introduced a consumer
promotion in May 2009 offering millions in instant cash prizes under the
crown. This promotion aptly titled "Thibahata Cash" offers cash prizes
ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 100,000. Within a short period of one month
thousands of instant cash prize winners have emerged across the island.
Amongst them Mrs. K. D. Rupawathi of Padukka and Lahiru Sampath of
Bulathsinghala were the two lucky winners so far to have won Rs. 100,000
each.
Anil De Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Ole Marketing in the
presence of Ms. Dulanee Weerackody, Marketing Director, U. K. Kumarasiri,
Director Sales, N. Manoharan Factory Manager, R. Shankar, Finance
Manager and Agency representatives presented the prize money to the
winners.
De Silva said, "Over the years, the popularity of Ole range of
Carbonated Soft Drinks has increased across the island. Thus, we wanted
to reward the loyal consumers through a novel promotion that would
address the need of our consumers during difficult times. The idea for
the promotion was based on a key consumer insight.
"The insight being that during difficult times cash reigns supreme
and thus instant cash prizes had a greater appeal amongst the consumers
than the traditional gift based offers. Thus, we at Ole decided to offer
instant cash prizes to enable out consumers fulfil their needs."
De Silva further said: "Thibahata Cash is a unique promotion that no
other beverage company in Sri Lanka has conducted before.
We are indeed overwhelmed with the response and the promotion will be
extended upto 31st July 2009."
Ole range of carbonated soft drinks consists of Ole Cream Soda, Ole
Ginger Beer, Ole Zingo, Ole Arshik, Ole Apple, Ole Nelli, Ole Soda and
Ole Plus, the recently introduced energy drink. |
