Finlays tea estates awards night - 2009

The Annual Awards Ceremony of Finlays Tea Estates "Sri Lanka" was held on June 19. Finlays tea estates consist of two public listed companies Hapugastenne Plantations PLC and Udapussellawa Plantations PLC. Between them, FTE operates 26 estates and 20 tea factories. Naresh Ratwatte Chairman of the company observed this annual event held for the fifth consecutive year went down memory lane and touched on the achievements of the company since 1992, and expressed his confidence on the future of the company Quote. Year 2008 was a tough one for all of us in the Tea and Rubber business and I am happy to note that we at Finlays tea estates still managed to have positive results with the strong leadership qualities that all our Managers gathered here have exhibited during these difficult times."
