Educational programs on Nenasa TV

Children in over 100 schools countrywide will get an opportunity to view seven-hour educational programs daily via the `Nenasa' TV satellite channel from tomorrow under a special program to be launched at the Pelawatta Ranjan Wijeratne Vidyalaya at 10.00 am under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The satellite channel will be operated from Colombo by the Dialog Telecom PLC in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the National Institute of Education.Speaking to the Sunday Observer, Dialog Telekom, Senior official

Kishor Hameed highlighted that this satellite educational program will be extended to 900 schools throughout the country within the next few months."This is the first time such an educational programme is launched by a television channel in the country and this will immensely benefit a large number of children in remote areas.
