"Intellectuals Web Forum on Sri Lanka Next Ten Years" will be organised by the Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF), Dr. Chandana P. Udawatte, Chairman SLF said.

The objective of this web forum would be to get the views of local and expatriate intellectuals in the context of national development at this crucial juncture, he said.

"Thirty years of the terrorist menace is now over. The country can herald a new era of development which needs the active participation of our intellectuals, Dr. Udawatte said.

The Sri Lanka Foundation which functions under the guidance of President Mahinda Rajapaksa mandated it to promote an understanding and commitment to a democratic way of life, protection of human rights and imparting knowledge among the masses for social progress.

Currently SLF is organising Educational and Training courses National and International programs, open discussions and in house seminars. The recently concluded "Spoken Tamil" program was a novel effort initiated to meet the present day requirements of the country. The participants who completed the program gained ability to converse in Tamil.
