Mobile service for conflict affected

The Ministry of Justice and Law Reforms has embarked on a mobile service to attend to the legal requirements of the civilians who were affected due to the conflict situation in the past in the Jaffna Peninsula, informed sources said.The officials led by Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and Law Reforms Suhada Gamlath led the mobile service, which had attended to over three thousand Jaffna civilians who were in need of their legal documents such as birth and death certificates, documents with regard to land deeds, and identity cards.

An eight member team of top officials from the Department of Registration of Persons also attended to the civilians at the mobile service, which had taken place at the Divine Life Society Hall in Nallur and at the Central College premises, for three days from Thursday to Saturday.
