Bank of Ceylon felicitates long standing staffers



BoC Deputy General Manager Mahinda Weerasekara awarding a gold sovereign to a staff member.

A felicitation ceremony was held by Bank of Ceylon (BoC) for 584 staff members who completed 25 years of service, to coincide with its 70th anniversary. These employees were awarded a gold sovereign, a cash prize and a certificate of appreciation.

Chairman BoC Dr. Gamini Wickramasinghe said that the development of any institution depends on the enthusiasm and dedication of its staff members and the Bank of Ceylon has been able to achieve the present high position due to the dedication of the staff members who have served in the bank, since its inception.

At present, Bank of Ceylon has 307 branches and 174 extension offices islandwide and three foreign branches in London, Male and Chennai. The number of staff members is over 8000.

Bank of Ceylon has an asset base around Rs. 485 billion and nearly eight million customers. Bank of Ceylon was awarded AA International Fitch Rating and judged the Sri Lanka's most valuable branch by Brand Finance Lanka.

BoC has the highest number of online branch network in the country.
