Citihitz goes to town with tele hits

Citihitz , the exclusive Sri Lankan teledrama channel is stepping up with a novel concept to promote Sri Lankan television celebrities.

Citihitz possesses the largest drama collection by many renowned Sri Lankan stars. Thus, to promote their sheer talent the drama channel has begun a program - "Yalith Wasanthayak" .

The program will be telecast on every second and fourth week of the month, where Citihitz will choose a star and telecast seven different dramas of the selected star throughout the week. Viewers can enjoy the work of their favourite star, without any interruptions or commercial breaks as it is broadcast through DVB-S technology which also ensures a higher picture quality.

In the first two sessions of this programs, teledramas of Janaka Kumbukage and Nilmini Thennakoon were telecast.

The third star to be featured will be popular actress Semini Iddamalgoda, the main actress of many celebrated teledramas.

The schedules for Iddamalgoda's dramas are as follows: Sept. 7 - Samanala Yaya; Sept. 8 - Kadupul Mal; Sept. 9 Kadupul Mal II; Sept. 10 - Pora Madala; Sept. 11 - Pora Madala II; Sept. 12 - Pawara Menuwara; and Sept. 13 - Ran Mehesi.

All dramas will be telecast at 8.30 p.m. Dialog TV viewers can join this gracious television extravaganza by switching on to Channel 62, Citihitz.
