25 students for Saudi Arabia

Twenty-five Sri Lankan students from the Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim
communities for the first time obtained have an opportunity to visit
Saudi Arabia for 10 days on an educational enhancing program.
This tour has been organised on the initiative of A. L. M. Lafir,
Consul General of Sri Lankan Embassy in Jeddah.
Fifteen Sinhala students and five students each from the Tamil and
Muslim communities qualify for the tour, Lafir said. The selection was
made following written tests and a series of interviews. Two hundred
thousand rupees will be spent on each student during their stay in Saudi
Arabia.
The students will study the Socio, cultural and economic aspects of
the country.
