Police fails to halt New Youngs SC

FOOTBALL: New Youngs SC from Wennappuwa came up with a another good performance to beat Police SC four goals to two at the Police Park in a Dialog Champions League match yesterday. At half-time scores were level at one all.

In a another game played at Kalutara Blue Star SC taking the home ground advantage went on to defeat high riding Don Bosco SC from Negombo 2-1 after having level scores at the half way mark.

As expected the Old Bens SC went down to Jupiters SC from Negombo at the Football Federation Ground at Kelaniya 2-1. Negombo team was in front at Lemons 1-0. Jupiters SC who went down to Airmen last week 6-0 have got their act together and should continue with same during the season if they are to be in the running.
