Future optimistic - CEO Thakral

Sri Lanka is an ideal place for ERP solution developers, said the CEO of the Thakral Global Bikram Singh. He was addressing media at the opening of the new office building of the Raffles Solution the fully owned subsidiary of Thakral Group in Colombo last week.

Having highly qualified financial sector professionals with good command of English, Sri Lanka is an ideal place for software developers and BPO companies in the finance sector, he said.

Thakral Group is a Singapore based multinational Company. Bikram said that Thakral is operating in Sri Lanka over the last 15 years and the software solution arm of the company Raffles Solution was set up in Sri Lanka in 2007. Raffles Solution is in ERP, business integration and BPO business and the new premises has facilities to expand our operations. After the recession the companies which run large computer systems are now seeking affordable solutions.

After the end of the war the market is turning around and we see opportunities in expanding our operations in Sri Lanka, Bikram said.

The Country Manager of Raffles Solution Sujatha Nadesan said that the company focuses on mid and large scale companies. At present we have 20 customers in Sri Lanka and we see opportunities in the tea industry, one of the oldest industries in Sri Lanka. It is still highly about intensive and even accounting and the management systems are manual. We also focus on garment industry, she said.
