MMBL Money Master recently donated shoes and socks for 113 children
at the Security Lodging and Rehabilitation Centre in Ambepussa. The
centre helps rehabilitate former LTTE child soldiers who had surrendered
during the war. The centre carries out a one year vocational training
for its inmates on completion of which they could return to their
villages. Some inmates have also been found foreign employment. A few
are ready to fly to Malaysia on employment next week.
These children have been forced into tremendous hardship during the
conflict. We have a responsibility to guide them along the correct path
to return to society as responsible citizens of a united and peaceful
Sri Lanka. We greatly appreciate the work being carried out by our
military to rehabilitate them, which is why we have come forward to
assist the centre', said Adrian Corera, Director/General Manager of MMBL
Money Master.
