Crocodile sponsors golf
World renowned brand Crocodile who has brand associations with many
sports took a new step to sponsor golf in Sri Lanka.
Crocodile sponsored the all prestigious Royal Colombo Golf Club
December monthly medal on the 5th which attracted many enthusiastic
golfers to register and take part in this prestigious game for

Dialog delivers first HSPA+28.8Mbps
Dialog Telekom, announced the advancing of its HSPA+ testing program
to the exposition of a live customer experience at its Future World
service centre. Leading the region in supporting the latest edition of
HSPA+, Dialog’s mobile broadband network was recently upgraded to
support downlink speeds of up to 28.8 Mbps. During the initial phase,
Dialog Mobile users visiting The Dialog Future World in Darley Road
Colombo can experience unparalleled data surfing in addition to uplink
speeds of 5.76 Mbps.
Double Gold for PC House
Technology solutions provider PC House was recently recognized yet
again at the Gigabyte Technology Headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan. Winning
Most Valuable Partner of the year 2009 title from both Gigabyte and
Topview, PC House the only company to win two top notch awards at the
ceremony held last week.
The award was presented as part of an overall recognition of the high
quality partnership provided by PC House to the technology field of both
Sri Lanka as well as Taipei.
Sampath opens Platinum + centre
The first Sampath Platinum Plus Centre, which is also the 131st
branch of Sampath Bank was opened at the former residence of the founder
of Sampath Bank, late N.U. Jayawardena at No. 18, Cambridge Place,
Colombo 07.
It is the first priority banking centre of Sampath and is the centre

Singer wins award
Singer (Sri Lanka). recently received ‘Best Corporate Citizens’,
award from the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for its tradition of
sustainable business practices that uplift the nation.
The company has been honoured with this award on several occasions,
proof of its longstanding dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) and its tireless work on behalf of Sri Lankan communities. Singer
was adjudged best out of ten.
The company’s belief in improving the welfare of Sri Lankans is

Elected President
Desha Keerthi Lakshman Leelaratne Walpitagamage was elected
unanimously as the president of the Galle district Chamber of Commerce
and Industries.Walpitagamage is an old boy of St. Aloysious College,
Galle and a social worker in the area.
