Meeting in support of President

Communist Party of Sri Lanka General Secretary and former MP Rajah Collure and several up-country leftist trade union leaders will address a meeting in Hatton today campaigning for President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the run up to the January 26 Presidential poll.

O.A.Ramiah, General Secretary of the Joint Plantation Trade Union Centre (JPTUC), A.P.Kanapathipillai (Attorney-at-Law), Nuwara Eliya District CP leader, Mohan Subramaniam, CP organiser, M.Hameed, LSSP Nuwara Eliya district leader, S.Jothivel and General Secretary of the United Workers’ Congress are to address the meeting that commences at 11 a.m. at the auditorium of the ‘Kamkaru Sevana’ Centre, Hatton.

The meeting is being held under the auspices of UPFA allies - the CP, LSSP and the Democrtic Left Front (DLF).
