CRICKET: Leg-spinner Sachithra Perera took a matchbag of ten wickets
as Ananda College trounced Zahira College by an innings and 61 runs in
their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at
Ananda Mawatha yesterday.
Zahira: 103 (M. Ishan 36, R. Sharmen 3 for 40, S. Perera 3 for 26)
and 94 (M. Hilam 20, M. Isham 19, R. Sharmen 3 for 19, S. Perera 7 for
30).

Ijaz (6/49) - restricts Thurstan
A fine spell of bowling from Mohamed Ijaz helped D. S. Senanayake
College to dismiss their opponents Thurstan College for a modest 178
runs in their first innings on the opening day of their inter-school
under-19 cricket tournament match which commenced at Thurstan grounds
yesterday.
