IFC launches 'Business Edge' training program

International Finance Corporation (IFC) launched their prestigious Business Edge (BE) program dedicated for the development of Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector in partnership with EML Consultants (Pvt) Ltd. this month. The Training of Trainer (ToT) program specially designed to improve the training skills of the specially selected trainers will be followed by introductory sessions for the potential clientele launched its activities recently.

The IFC Business Edge training aims to improve the business performance and competitiveness of firms and to create jobs.

This is achieved by improving the EDGE providing them access to practical training solutions adapted to the local business context.

Thirty-eight training courses are available covering five broad categories of marketing, human resource management, finance and accounting, general operations management and personal productivity skills.

These training programs will help to empower the entrepreneurs of SMEs and middle managers of larger enterprise in making sound business decisions and carrying on a successful enterprise.

IFC has implemented a new strategy to deliver assistance to SMEs globally by designing and developing the Business Edge program.
