TNA isolates Tamils in North and East - Prof. Vitarane
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leadership was
trying to isolate the Tamil community of the North and the East from the
rest of the Sri Lankan society by seeking international intervention and
support for its rigid stance on a political solution to the Tamil
problem, Minister of Science and Technology and leader of the LSSP
Prof.Tissa Vitarane said.

Fonseka, no threat to UNP - Dr. Kodituwakku
The UNP vote base will not be affected by DNA
candidate Sarath Fonseka, said Colombo District UNP Candidate,
Ex-minister Dr. Karunasena Kodituwakku. He said that the UNP, the oldest
political party in the country has a traditional vote base of an average
35 percent in general and 40 percent in the Colombo district.
