Box office hits in town!
 My Name is Khan!
If you’re one of those cinema-goers who were turned down recently to
the sheer number of people thronging the Liberty Cinema to watch ‘My
Name is Khan’, dont worry. The film will continue for another month
since the people who saw it the first time, have expressed that they
would like to see it again, and new ones too. It’s one of the most
popular and emotionally moving flicks ever made by Shah Rukh Khan and
sees him on the silver screen with his on-screen lover, Kajol. Be sure
to check it out as the crowd lessens a bit!
 It’s Complicated!
How would you feel if your parents divorced and just as you were
ready to accept that there was nothing to make them reconcile, they have
an affair behind your back even after one parent remarried? It’s a very
complicated plot-line but comical no doubt! Meryl Streep acts with Alec
Baldwin and Steve Martin in ‘It’s Complicated’ which is currently being
screened at Majestic Cinema.
 Green Zone!
‘Green Zone’ is an upcoming action thriller war film written by Brian
Helgeland and directed by Paul Greengrass. The film is based on the 2006
book ‘Imperial Life in the Emerald City’ by journalist Rajiv
Chandrasekaran which is based in the Green Zone, Baghdad. It stars Matt
Damon, Amy Ryan, Greg Kinnear, and Brendan Gleeson. The movie will be
released next week worldwide and will be shown subsequently at the
Majestic Cinema. Cute but now older and mature Matt Damon portrays Roy
Miller, a warrant officer who helps a senior CIA officer in the search
for weapons of mass destruction. Roy Miller, is based on real-life Army
chief warrant officer, Richard (Monty) Gonzales, whose Mobile
Exploitation Team was charged with finding the WMDs during the 2003
invasion of Iraq.
 Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief!
‘The Lightning Thief’ is a 2005 fantasy/adventure novel based on
Greek mythology, the first young adult novel written by author Rick
Riordan. It is the first book in the ‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians’
series, which charts the adventures of modern twelve-year-old Percy
Jackson as he discovers he is a demi-god, the son of a mortal woman and
the Greek god Poseidon. Percy and his friends go on a quest to prevent
an apocalyptic war between the Greek gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
Today, the book was adapted into a film named ‘Percy Jackson and the
Olympians: The Lightning Thief’ and will be released at Savoy Cinema
