Moratuwa's 33rd battle ends in a draw

CRICKET: The both 60th match between Prince of Wales' and St.
Sebastians ended in a draw for the 33rd consecutive year at De Soysa
Stadium, Moratuwa.
Resuming at 46 for 3 on day two the formidable Sebastianites could
not come to expectations and they were all out for 154 runs giving their
opponents a 31 runs lead.
Sanitha de Mel top scored for the Sebs with 51 runs including four
fours and two sixes Charith Fernando contributed 24 runs. Shehan
Jayasuriya was the most successful bowler for Cambrians with 5 for 40.
In their second essay Cambrians piled up 167 runs for the loss of six
wickets with Nipun Chamara making 54 runs with six fours and Shehan
Jayasuriya scoring 61 runs including six hits to the ropes and three
over. Cambrians gave Sebs an impossible task of scoring 191 in seven
overs for an outright victory and at the close Sebs were 22 for 2
wickets.
