Even exchanges in Kotte Battle

CRICKET: St. Thomas' College, Kotte skipper Rangeeth Peiris won the toss and invited Sri Jayawardenapura M.V to take the first lease in their 34th annual inter-school Big Match played at Moors ground yesterday.

Right hand middle order batsman P.C.I. Kariyawasam (55) made a superb half century.

Openers N.K. Illukwatta (26) and K.B.D.T. Maduranga (28) put on 54 runs.

Gihan Benedict clamed 4 for 54 while Pradeep Ananda too had 4 for 43.

When the stumps were drawn on day one St.Thomas College were 74 for 2 with their two top order batsmen Deshan Ravidu Yohan and Malinda Rukshan back inthe pavillion. The match will be continue today.
