Lanka cleared from war risk list

Sri Lanka has been removed from all marine war and marine strikes risk by Lloyds Joint Cargo Committee, said the Ministry of External Affairs on Thusrday. According to Joint Cargo Watch ground risk is confined to the Vavuniya and Jaffna section of the A-9 highway and the rest of the country is cleared of all marine risks.

The Ministry said Sri Lanka has been removed of these risks from July 5 this year. Previously the Ground Risk of 2.6 (High Level) was applicable to the entire ground of the country.
