SLIM Brand Excellence 2010
The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing(SLIM), is searching out
highflying brands and outstanding brand custodians, to give them the
recognition and reward they deserve, in the presence of the country's
marketing elite at a awards ceremony to be held in October.
SLIM Brand Excellence 2010 Project Chairman Upul Adikari said "This
is the time that strategic and creative geniuses should wear their best
thinking caps, marketers should be on their toes, ready to seize every
opportunity that presents itself, and the time to make strong
investments in their greatest intangible asset: Brand Value.
Entries close on August 7. A value addition introduced for the first
time is a workshop for participants to explain the awards process and
provide them with the knowledge and guidance needed to complete a
'winning application'.
The workshop will be held on August 22 at the Galadari Hotel.
Another value addition is the SLIM BE publication, a must-have for
marketers, also launched for the first time this year.
An ad campaign titled 'There can BE only one' increases the tempo of
the hunt.
As brand custodians vie for the one accolade that they could call
their very own, which will be their own reward for excellence in a
market saturated with sharing all brand achievements, defined clearly by
terminology like 'market share, 'share of voice', which they are 'sick
of sharing'.
