The National Savings Bank (NSB) a licensed specialised Bank, opened its 169th branch at Karainagar in Jaffna last week.

NSB Chairman Pradeep Kariyawasam said, to day is a milestone in NSB's history. Within a few days this branch can collect 10 to 13 million rupees as savings. Through this branch we expect to implement many loan schemes for industries such as fisheries, agriculture and toddy tapping.
