Ivan de Silva the versatile
musician from Moratuwa is back from Sydney, Australia after a successful
musical tour. During his stay in Australia he performed in Liverpool,
Bankstown, 7Hills, Woolongong Campbell Town, and Yaguna.
 He played and sang country and western and the very popular “Pop
Songs” of Sri Lanka. He was also featured on the Australian FM Radio
100.9.
A remarkable event was that Ivan gave most of the Sri Lankans living
in Australia a chance of performing on stage along with him while he and
the band backed them up. Many Filipinos and New Zealanders took part
with him. Many have requested Ivan to be back in Australia once more for
a repeat performance.
Ivan has been abroad for almost 18 years as a professional musician
he is also an experienced music instructor.
Ivan plays the Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Rhythm guitar and Keyboard.
In the 1960s he was a well known Piano Accordionist”
While Ivan was in bahrain he played for the Banks “Impressing”
“Nightingales” “Sensations” and “Falcons”. Also with the Sri Lankan Band
“Sathsara” In Sri Lanka he performed on T.V. TNL on many occasions with
the all girls Band “Esteem” and also “Sakura Flowers’.
Ivan plays and sings on contract in Hotels and also for weddings,
dances and public performances. |
