Richard Pieris Tyre Company, pioneer in the tyre retreading business,
felicitated more than 200 of its dealers in the North Western region at
Seasons Hotel Kurunegala recently. Dealers were briefed on new products
and the business approach during the convention.
The company has a distribution network of 1300 outlets across the
country and four decentralised factories located in Nawinna, Kandy,
Kurunegala and Weligama. Regional conventions are held each year to
encourage the dealer community.
The Annual dealer convention recognises best performers and also is
an event where dealers meet and bond in fellowship and camaraderie.
The awards were made under the two divisions Trading and Re-Trading.
Ten top performers from the Re-Trading category and 3 from the Trading
category were felicitated.
The chief guest, Director/General Manager Richard Pieris Tyre Company
Pushpika Janadheera said "we believe company growth should be reflected
by our dealer strength as well. We strive to produce high quality
products and market the same economically to cater to our customers'
needs.
Though the price of rubber is increasing steadily, Arpidag products
remain unaffected through better management of resources. We have
identified the needs of our valued dealers and we will continue to add
value for both our dealers and our customers".
The company established in 1940 has become the largest retreader in
Asia. In 1991 the Company entered into a collaboration with Bandag
Incorporation USA to commence the procured tyre trading for the first
time in Sri Lanka introducing the revolutionary 'Arpidag' brand in the
country.
