‘Moon’s report biased’

The three-member expert panel report of UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon is biased and has been prepared with information from pro LTTE elements.

The UPFA rejects the allegations against the Government in the Report said UPFA Secretary, Petroleum Industries Minister Susil Premajayantha.

The Government safeguarded human rights and even served food and drinks to the enemy at the warfront. The Security Forces were fully committed to protect human rights even on the battlefield, the minister said.

Though the committee was appointed to advise the UN chief, it has made accusations without deeper observations. There was no war whatsoever in Sri Lanka. It was a humanitarian mission launched by the Security Forces to liberate civilians from the LTTE grip.

The LTTE has been banned by many countries. President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the Security Forces have been targeted in these allegations which will endanger the country’s soveregnity.

The UPFA denounces this sinister move and calls upon the public to unite sinking petty differences to defeat this conspiracy, the UPFA Secretary said.
