Showcasing power generating technology

The 5th Power Sri Lanka, 2011, Sri Lanka's international exhibition
on power generation and transmission, PV power, energy and renewable
energy will be held from June 16-18, at the Sri Lanka Exhibition &
Convention Centre (SLECC).
The exhibition will run parallel to the International Exhibition on
renewable energy Solutions & Technology (RE Power 2011), International
Exhibition on Solar Photo Voltaic Power Generation (PV Power 2011) and
International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment & Technology (E
Power 2011).
The exhibition is organised by the Conference & Exhibition Management
Services Ltd, Global - USA and CEMS Lanka together with the Ministry of
Power and Energy, Ceylon Electricity Board and Sri Lanka Convention
Bureau.
This is the second power exhibition to be held in Sri Lanka and the
fifth in the series. The first was held last year.
Ten countries including Denmark, Norway, China, Korea, Australia,
Singapore, Germany and India will participate in the exhibition which
will bring together all stakeholders in the power and energy industry
under one B2B platform.
The expo will bring world-class technology which would be beneficial
to upgrade the power and energy sector and also play an important role
by assembling the entire business community from all industry sectors of
the country under one roof creating networking opportunities.
"The government wants to seek new technology with emphasis on tapping
alternative energy sources for power generation.
It is anticipating a dynamic growth in the power sector," said
