The panache of the latest beauty pageant of the country is ready to unfold. Entitled Ms. Asia World in Sri Lanka 2011, the pageant will pave the way for married and unmarried beauties with a heart to come together and project their silhouettes before walking away with this prestigious title which aims at educating and providing vocational training for the differently abled and the under privileged.

Organised by Technique International (Pvt) Ltd which is credited with the success of organising Ms Lanka for the past 16 years under the guidance of Mrs Gwendoline Kuhatheva, the applicants must meet the following criteria,

* Be a married or unmarried female aged 18-35

* Be of good health, moral character and possess beauty with good personality

* Be able to refrain from bringing disrepute to the sponsors and those associated with the pageant

* Be willing to attend all promotional activities in the run up to the pageant and visits to charitable organisations

As one of the first of its genre to be held in the island, the pageant aims at fostering unity and increasing awareness of the diversity and strengths of women of Sri Lanka.

The contestants will receive unprecedented exposure to photoshoots, media interviews, videography, fundraising activities, interview preparation, make-up sessions and hair consultations. The Swim suit title will not be part of Ms. Asia World in Sri Lanka 2011. The preliminaries are slated to be held at the end of July.
