The golden opportunity to be the cynosure of all eyes has been

off their shapely figures in a contest to select national
representatives for Miss Earth, Miss. Tourism International, Model of
the World, Asian Model Search and Petite International.

that will open the doors for you to be recognised in any one of the
enviable positions and to wear that all important glittering crown.
The Presenters - Big Time Image Makers will also be conducting four
Regional Pageants to enable more youth outside the city limits to take
part in this exciting contest to afford wider opportunities to them.
The Regional Pageants will be the Western City, Hill Country,
Southern Coast and Northern Peninsula. This will provide the contenders
a taste of what a pageant is all about. The Top five of each region will
enter the National Finals. So hurry send your entries to the Presenters,
27/3 A, Hotel Road, Mount Lavinia by next Sunday, June 19.
The annual Miss. Earth competition which for the last nine years took
centre stage in the Philippines where Miss. Earth was born, became the
venue for these global ambassadors to interact and share ideas.
By exposing the delegates to various activities, seminars, training
and dialogues with stakeholders it was evident that we suffer from the
same problems due to Mother Earth’s degradation.
Significantly Miss. Switzerland expressed her opinion when she
represented her country “Environmental protection goes beyond national
boundaries. Everyday we can use less cars, less electricity to protect
Mother Earth”.
Miss. Hongkong’s opinion was that “Because of ensuring global climate
changes leading to increasingly frequent natural disasters, we should
know what effective measures to take in order to save our planet”.
So be a participant and spread the all important message of
environmental awareness. Mr & Miss. Sri Lanka 2011 is presented in
association with the Sunday Observer the print media sponsor, the Sri
Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Real Radio and the official film FUJI.
