Corporal Chandrasena at World Masters Games in California

ATHLETICS: Corporal S. Chandrasena 2nd Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment is presently participating at the World Masters Games in California, USA. The Games will be over on June 17th.

Chandrasena’s events at the Masters Games are in the 35 years to 39 years age category and his event is the 400 metres. He qualified for the Masters Games when he clocked 51 seconds in the 400 metres at the Asian Masters Games held last year in Malaysia.

Corporal Chandrasena joined the Sri Lanka Army in 1996 and concentrated on athletics. He won the 400 metres, 200 metres and 100 metres at the Army Inter-Regimental meets from 2003 todate. But, there is a problem for Chandrasena. He has to find a sponsor. The trip to California is expected to cost Rs. 200,000 and he is looking for a sponsor (contact No: 072-600059).
