Sebastianites gain nine run first innings lead

St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa gained a nine run first innings
lead in their tall scoring inter school second eleven cricket match
against D. S. Senanayake Vidyalaya, Colombo played at Moratuwa.
Sebs who piled up 310 for 4 on day one declared their innings and the
visitors batted almost all day and were all out for 301 runs with
Duleeka Brahamanage top scoring with 93 runs and Rusiru Gunatilleke
capturing 6 for 48. At the close Sebs were 55 for 2.

An unfinished seventh wicket partnership between Vidulana Medis (83)
and Suchira Fernando (58) enabled Prince of Wales' College to be in a
commanding position against Moratu Vidyalaya in their inter school
second eleven cricket match worked off at Moratuwa.
Winning the toss and electing to bat Vidyalians were all out for 117
runs with Shanuka Madushan scoring 22 runs. Shenal Chetaka took 3 for 30
for Cambrians.

Pradeep bowls Zahira to victory

A fine bowling effort by Pradeep Ananda who had a match bag of 13 for
102 helped Zahira College to beat Sri Sumangala Panadura by eight
wickets in their school cricket match played at Maradana yesterday.
Left arm leg spinner Pradeep Ananda had the impressive figures 5 for
59 and 8 for 43 in the two innings.
Zahira: 282 and 96 for 2 (Marikkar 56, Dilshan Hilmy 22)
Sri Sumangala: 144 and 243 in 76.3 overs (Aruna Dharmasena 93,
Chanaka Amarasekera 50 n.o, Lahiru Vimukthi 27, Pradeep Ananda 8 for 43,
Waseem Sinnen 2 for 45).
