Blind cricketers on short tour to Trivandrum

BLIND CRICKET TOUR: Sri Lanka's blind cricketers are scheduled to make a short tour of Trivandrum from February 8 to 12 next year. They are scheduled to play three one-day matches with the Indian National Team. A 14-member team is expected to make the tour and the officials of the Sri Lanka Cricket Association of the Visually Handicapped has started a fund-raising project to meet the cost of the air tickets and other incidental expenses of the team.

The Indian part of the tour is sponsored by the Score Foundation of which George Abraham (the Father of Blind Cricket in India) is the Chairman.

In order to select the Sri Lanka Blind Cricket Team, a pool has been picked and trials were held at Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa.
