Guild’s true colours exposed
The Guild that is for Editors showed its true colours when its Ex-Co
refrained from issuing a statement condemning the attack on one of its
member Raj, the Ed type of the News that is Lak-land. Surprisingly, the
Guild, which issues statements at the drop of a hat, kept mum when a
fellow editor was assaulted by a UNP goon.
Whither ‘Walking’ Journalists?
Strangely, not only the Guild that is for Editors but also the five
notorious media organisations, including journalists that are ‘Walking’,
did not utter a word in favour of Rajpal. These godfathers who often
make a big hue and cry over media freedom and even issue statements on
behalf of peons and labourers at media houses, turned a Nelsonian eye to
the incident. “They issue statements only when they could put the blame
on the Government,” a moderate editor said.
Love-Slave’s hidden agenda
Saa-jeet, the Love-Slave recently briefed a close confidant of the
hidden agenda in bringing forward Ka-roo as a candidate for the Green
leadership contest. “First I will push him there to replace the leader.
Thereafter, we could throw him out easily by saying how he turned
traitor by joining the Government with 17 others”.
Ra-Blue stays put, shuns contest
Ra-Blue, fearing that Fonny too would become a threat to his
leadership, is determined to stay on for the next five years so that he
could contest the next election that is presidential. According to
sources from the Lane that is Fifth, Ra-Blue would conveniently evade a
contest and seal his leadership for the next five years by making a
strategic move in the Woc Com, which is teeming with his men.
