$ 125 million investment:
SLPA to build 400m berth
The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) will launch
a fast track project to construct a 400m long berth in the newly
constructed Colombo South harbour, Chairman SLPA, Priyath Bandu
Wickrama told the Sunday Observer. The total investment of this fast
track project will be around $125 m.

Upcountry train service for festive season
The CGR launched a train service between Colombo
Fort and Bandarawela for the school vacation and festive season for
local tourists, Commercial Superintendent of CGR, Sisira Kumara
said. The train will leave Colombo Fort at 9.15 am and reach
Bandarawela at 5.20 pm.

Budget 2012 conducive to exports and logistics - Shippers’

The shippers’ academy views the proposals made
at the budget 2012 as a positive budget in respect of exports and
logistics said Shippers’ Academy President Rohan Masakorala. He said

SL earns $ 7.7 b on exports - EDB Chairman

Pooranachandran said. Sea food items are despatched under
