Nation Lanka Finance moves

Nation Lanka Finance PLC, a full-fledged finance company moved to Colombo 5. The company turned a new chapter recently by obtaining a licence to operate as a finance company. The company is a profitable business entity today under a new board of directors headed by Chairman, Jayantha Dharmadasa a reputed entrepreneur Asanga Seniviratne, director of Nawaloka Group H. Dharmadasa and Jayaprakash Rudra. With over 15 branches across the country the company is poised for steady growth. Nation Lanka Finance PLC is a diversified company which owns a majority stake in Millennium Housing and Nation Lanka Equities Stock Brokers.

Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa said that within a short span the company has turned into a profitable venture providing a range of customised services across the country.

“We hope to open 10 branches before the end of this year and make the company a leading finance entity within the next five years”, he said.

The company will set up branches in Vavuniya, Ampara, Chavakachcheri, Chilaw, Wennappuwa, Galle, Matara and Hambantota. Nation Lanka Finance PLC has over 15,000 customers across 12 branches islandwide. Micro Finance has been the towering strength of the company which provides an array of services to SME sector entrepreneurs .

Asanga Seniviratne, said that the new board has raised capital for the company within a short time and added that the organisation is geared to achieve greater heights.

The company has a presence in the North and the East which is fast developing due to the infrastructure growth. The company's product portfolio includes leasing, fixed deposits, higher purchase, savings, personal loans, pawning, Real Estate and Micro Finance.
