Abans introduces Blu-ray disc player

Philips DVD players introduced the Blu-ray Disc Player with HD 1080p at 24 fps. It was developed to enable HD recording and playback, and is able to store a large amount of data (which is over 5 x the normal capacity of a DVD) from 25 - 50GB with over nine hours of HD video and 23 hours standard definition (SD) on a 50GB Disc.

In addition to the video and audio quality, the extra storage capacity also means that there will be room for additional content and special features.
