The employment needs of youth will be addressed according to their education standards, Postal Services Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga said.

He said the Government spends a huge amount of money on free education, resulting in the creation of many graduates.

The Government also provides employment to thousands of graduates every year in various departments including in the teaching profession.

Youth who were unable to enter universities are given technical education and will also receive employment in the industrial sector, the Minister said.

Most youth are interested in Government sector employment.

After finding employment, they should show the same interest in serving the public, the Minister said.A large number of invitees including Deputy Post Master General R.D.P. Gamini graced the event.
