Gateway wins Netball Championship for third consecutive year

NETBALL: Gateway College, Colombo were undisputed champions of the Inter International Schools Over 15 Girls Netball Championship that was organised by the Colombo International School (CIS) that was played at the Shalika Ground, Narahenpita.

In the final, Gateway beat OKI International School by 16-6. In the semi final, Gateway beat Lyceum International School, Nugegoda 21-06 and at the Quarters, Gateway overcame Lyceum International School, Wattala 20-03. All major awards of the tournament were won by the Gateway netballers. Kalani de Silva was named the Netball Queen of the tournament. Skipper Judith Fernando was named the Best Centre Court Player and Prisca Ratnasingham was adjudged as the Best Defensive Player. Janadhi Attanayake and Janani Jayalath of Gateway College Kandy received awards for being the Best Shooters in Over 15 and Under 15 categories.
