Thurstanite Ashan Wanigaratne and Ruwan Bandara of Vidyartha , Kandy, took the top spot this week with last week's winners Sajeeva Salagado (Thurstan ) and Angelo Jayasinghe (Maris Stella) being pushed to the second place with a slender lead at the end of count number 5 at the Sunday Observer/Mobitel Most popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the year All Island and Outstation competition. The competition is gathering momentum as the voting mainly for the first three places in both categories All Island and Outstation is hotting up.
