Arpidag Tyres awarded ISO 9001: 2008 certification

Arpidag International Limited was given ISO 9001:2008 standards certification by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution. This standards certification was given to Arpidag Intenational Limited updating the certification secured in 2001 by Arpidag International. Richard Pieris Tyre Company uses the tread tracks manufactured by Arpidag International Limited under this ISO certification. The company, issues over 50,000 retreaded tyres to the market.

Tyre retreading by Richard Pieris Tyre Company was established in 1932 and launched in 1942. It was the pioneering tyre retreading factory. Following the launch, the company experienced a steady growth and, partnering the Bandag Company of USA, introduced pre-cured retreaded tyres under the trade name ‘Arpidag’, adding a change to the tyre retreading field.
