Hayleys launches pesticide-free termite protection system

Novithor, a pesticide-free, non-toxic termite protection system is available in Sri Lanka. Patented and manufactured by the US-headquartered ENSYSTEX Inc., the new product offers a 20-year manufacturer's warranty and comes in three elements.

Novithor products will be marketed by Hayleys Agriculture. Hayleys Pest Control Services, Finlay Rentokil and Suren Cooke Agencies have been appointed authorised operators to install Novithor products.

Hayleys Group Director in charge of the agriculture sector companies, Rizvi Zaheed said the new product would be backed by Hayleys Agriculture and the parent group.

Regional Director, Steve Broadbent said modern alternatives were toxic that can leach into the soil and water and breakdown in about five years, leaving buildings vulnerable. Novithor is environmentally sound and has a life expectancy of 50 years.
