Winning numbers through 1919
The ICT Agency of Sri Lanka has taken steps to enable the public to
know lottery results through the Government Information Centre (1919).
ICTA said that as a first step it will be possible for the public to
know the winning numbers disclosed by the Development Lottery Board.
Action is being taken to provide information about results of other
lotteries as well, the Information and Communication Technology Agency
of Sri Lanka said.
NDB finance scheme for second-hand vehicles
NDB has extended its leasing facility with no guarantors and down
payments, to enable the financing of registered vehicles. This special
financing scheme for registered vehicles will grant a distinctive

The ability to obtain a prior credit assessment to determine the

Seminar on tea
Data Acquisition Design (Pvt) Ltd., has organised a seminar on the
latest technologies to improve the quality of tea on June 15 at Global
Towers Hotel, Colombo 6. Managing Director of “Teachcraft Ltd.” UK,
Nigel Melican, will be the speaker at the seminar.
Teacraft is a well- known in Sri Lanka and is very familiar to most
people in the tea industry. Melican has over 30 years' experience in
improving the technology of tea manufacture in over 40 countries and has
assisted producer and packer clients in 26 countries.
Airtel ranked among top 100 global brands
Bharti Airtel (‘Airtel’), a global telecommunications company with
operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, said that Airtel has
joined an elite club of global brands by making it to this year’s
BrandZTop 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list.
With an overall ranking of 71 and brand value of $11.5b, Airtel has
been ranked ahead of top global brands such as Citi (82), Sony (86), MTN
(88), China Telecom (90), and Volkswagen (96).
ICICI is the only other Indian brand in this prestigious list. The
BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands is a study conducted by
leading global research firm, Millward Brown.
Dialog Axiata brings education to your computer
Dialog Axiata PLC has introduced eTeacher, a web-based education
portal which allows subscribers to follow tuition classes conducted by
popular lecturers via the web from any place at anytime, without the
hassle of travelling during peak traffic times.
The eTeacher web- based education portal can be accessed by
subscribers who have access to the web. However Dialog customers who
have access to Dialog mobile broadband get the additional benefit of
using the service without being charged for the amount of data streamed

Abans microwave challenge
Send a recipe that could be prepared using a microwave in 30-45

select five recipes and recipe owners will be called to give a brief
demonstration.
The prize for the winner will be an LG microwave oven. The second and
third winners will also receive a microwave oven from Abans, while the
fourth and fifth winners will receive a gift each.

Ms. E.A. Dayawathie, a 56- year-old teacher from Matugama won the One
million rupee prize in Seylan Bank’s, February ‘Thagi Pita Thagi’ draw
and became the fourth millionaire to date. Since the launch in October
last year,‘Thagi Pita Thagi’ has awarded 10,480 winners.
The recent winners received their awards from Executive Director R.
Nadarajah and General Manager and CEO Kapila Ariyaratne at Seylan Bank’s
Head Office in Kollupitiya.
