Maris Stella's Angelo Jayasinghe takes 91 vote lead in Outstation contest

OBSERVER-MOBITEL AWARDS: With the completion of count number 16, the competition between the first two candidates of both categories All Island ... Ashan Wanigaratne (56,391) and Sajeeva Salgado (55,988) both from Thurstan College) and Angelo Jayasinghe (35,002) of Maris Stella, Negombo and Kavindu Ashan (34,911) of Royal, Panadura from the Outstation schools, are engaged in a close tussle for the number one berth.

Ashan Wanigaratne of Thurstan maintained his lead with a majority of 403 votes in the All Island category while Maris Stella's Angelo Jayasinghe took over the lead from Kavindu Ashan (Royal, Panadura) with a slender 91-vote majority in the Outstation Contest.
