Gampaha District Athletic Meet June 16 and 17 at Sribodhi grounds

ATHLETICS: The Gampaha District Athletic Championship held by the Ministry of Education and the Sports Development Department (Gampaha District) in connection with the 38th National Sports Festival will take place on 16 and 17 of June 2012, at the Sribodhi Grounds in Gampaha.

Over 1,200 men and women athletes are expected to participate at this meet from 13 Pradeshiya Sabhas and the Chief Minister Western Province Prasanna Ranatunga will grace the occasion.

The Sports Minister of Western Province Upali Kodikara and the other Provincial Council members too, are expected to participate at this two-day meet. (RA)
