Kuwait to help set up tourism institute in East

The Kuwait Fund has agreed to grant financial assistance to implement
various development projects in the Eastern Province.
The assistance will be granted to set up a tourism training
institute, a fully equipped hotel school and improve infrastructure
facilities in the province.
This follows a request by Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Leader and
Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem to Abdul Wahab Al-Badr, Director General
of Kuwait Fund, during his recent visit to Kuwait.
Minister Hakeem stressed the necessity of the Kuwait Fund assistance
to Director General Abdul Wahab Al-Badr to set up the tourism training
institute in the South Eastern University (SEU), to construct a fully
equipped hotel school in the Province and improve facilities of the
auditoriums in schools in the province.
The Minister also called upon Abdul Wahab Al-Badr to extend support
to improve infrastructure facilities in the Courts in the Eastern
Province.The Kuwait Fund Director said that Kuwait Funds grant
assistance was given to 104 countries.The Director General told Minister
Hakeem that when documents are submitted, it would be discussed and
steps will be taken to grant assistance.
