Tourism Faculty for S-E University

The Kuwait Fund has agreed to set up a Tourism and Hotel Management Faculty at the South Eastern University. This follows a discussion with the representatives of the Kuwait Fund by a Sri Lankan delegation led by Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Leader and Minister of Justice Rauff Hakeem which has been to Kuwait on an official visit.

The delegation consisted of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Chairman and Parliamentarian Faisal Kasim, Youth Congress Organiser and Eastern Provincial Council Member A.L.M. Jameel and SLMC Deputy Leader Hafiz Naseer.

Director General Abdul Wahab Al-Badr and Director for Asian Region Waleed Al-Haider represented the Kuwait Fund.

Both sides discussed in depth the feasibilities of developing the South Eastern University, Jameel said.

The Kuwait Fund has allocated $ 1,000 million under the first phase and $ 1,000 million under the second phase to develop infrastructure facilities in the Eastern Province.

The Kuwait Fund on the request of Minister Hakeem will take steps to set up a Tourism and Hotel Management Faculty in the South Eastern University, according to Jameel.
