CBA celebrates third anniversary

Cross Border Academy (CBA), a hospitality management course provider, celebrates its third anniversary this year. CBA has been recognised by the Singapore Wissen Academy.

It provides four-month courses on hospitality management to meet industry requirements. A spokesman for the Academy said, "Hotel industry experts while admiring the intensive training marveled as to how a new-comer could acquire skills of the industry within a short span. The courses are tailor-made for low and middle income students".

CBA Managing Director, Yatila Wijemanne said "The course enables those from low and middle income families to follow a program with international accreditation".Industry experts said that hospitality management was a vast area which cannot be covered in a short period. "Academic training alone was not sufficient. Students need practical training. Hospitality management programs span three to four years as it requires comprehensive training", they said. Wijemanne said that there is a demand for students who have completed the program and added that the success rate of students was high.
