Sri Lanka Telecom and ICTA to host FutureGov SAARC Summit 2012
Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) and the ICT Agency (ICTA) will host the
FutureGov SAARC Summit as strategic partners. The Summit will be held in
Colombo on July 18 and 19 with the participation of more than 50 experts
in the region.
ICTA CEO, Reshan Dewapura whoexpressed his gratitude to SLT for
joining ICTA to host the Summit said, "The SLT's support to this
important international event is a valuable contribution towards more
efficient e-Governance in the region".
"The Summit will focus on effective and efficient e-Governance. It
will give participants the rare opportunity to share their views with
some of the best practitioners in public service and industry experts in
the world.
It will be an ideal opportunity for all interested in improving state
services provided to the public, particularly Government officers who
will benefit from the Summit", Dewapura said.
Sri Lanka Telecom CEO, Greg Young stressed the benefits that will
accrue to the region as a result of the two-day event. "Sri Lanka

this stature that will bring together a rich combination of individuals
from the SAARC region and with it, the opportunity to share valuable
